This is not a common accommodation in Corfu. This is an alternative suggestion for holidays in Corfu following the footsteps of Durrells. This idyllic house, actually on the beach, is the scenery where you’ll experience the feeling of living like the Durrells in Corfu. Cool and quite, fully equipped, a paradise just for your family (and other animals). Close to Alykes on the Lefkimmi promontory, where the lighthouse, a familiar landmark for sailors, welcomes from afar visitors to the island. Here in the 15th century, a salt extraction business was established, which was in operation until quite recently. The old flats are now a spectacular wildlife sanctuary where flamingos, egrets and many migratory birds can be seen. The harbour is still a base for local fishermen who land their catch there, and the nearby beach has several tavernas offering a real Greek welcome.
